The Czech Core Metadata Model for Research Data (abbreviated as CCMM) is a core metadata model for research data description in the Czech Republic, it is an output of the Czech Academic and Research Discovery Services project, hereinafter referred to as CARDS.
The model is built on existing metadata schemes, primarily DCAT-AP and DataCite, and it also adopts some elements from DCAT-AP-CZ and Dublin Core.
Objectives the model:
- to establish minimum descriptive elements for datasets, sufficiently general to ensure the model can serve as a foundation applicable across various disciplinary repositories
- to ensure the interoperability of core metadata across disciplines
- to serve as a basis for unified search over research data metadata in the National Metadata Directory (Národní metadatový adresář, abbreviated as NMA in Czech), i.e. it will serve as an exchange format between repositories in the Czech environment of the National Data Infrastructure (NDI), the National Repository Platform (NRP) and the National Metadata Directory (NMA)
The model is published under the CC BY license.
