Mapping (crosswalks) and transformations between CCMM and DataCite
The motivation for mappings (crosswalks) and mutual XSLT transformations between CCMM and DataCite is the need to align the metadata of both models. On the one hand, it is necessary to export CCMM metadata to DataCite-compliant metadata, e.g., to obtain DOI identifiers. On the other hand, it is necessary to convert DataCite metadata to CCMM-compliant metadata, e.g., for use in the NMA system.
For mappings and transformations, a GitHub repository (CCMM-DataCite-mappings) has been created that describes the entire mapping and XSLT transformation process and provides implementations for both directions.
Mappings and transformations consider CCMM version 1.1.0 and DataCite Metadata Schema version 4.7 (resp. version 4.6).
