This website is managed by the Centre for Repositories and Metadata Management, which is part of the Czech National Library of Technology (NTK). The Centre includes the Expert Methodological Unit for supporting work with metadata of research data, and its goal is to serve as the primary consultation point for the RDI community in the area of research data metadata management.
The team provides consultations related to metadata issues and repository metadata management, and offers methodological support to institutions dealing with the selection or adaptation of a metadata schema, its implementation in a repository, or its integration with the National Metadata Directory (NMA) and the transfer of metadata to this catalogue.

The Metadata Unit consists of a team of experts who collect and organize knowledge about metadata schemas and formats, their use in both general-purpose and discipline-specific repositories, the principles of digital curation, and ensuring interoperability between repositories and other systems. The Centre operates with the support of the CARDS project (Czech Academic and Research Discovery Services).
Together with other complementary projects, the CARDS project aims to build the national node of the European initiative EOSC CZ, whose goal is to establish, on a federated principle, an infrastructure for storing, archiving, and providing access to research data, and to promote best practices in research data management across scientific communities.
